Friends of the NAPL

of the North Adams Public Library

Be a Real Friend to Your Library!   Your library needs you.
For more than a quarter of a century, the Friends of the North Adams Public Library have helped establish a closer relationship between the library and the public. In the past the group has done this through funding programs and special purchases.  The Friends of the Library are continuing to raise funds to complete the third floor of the Houghton Memorial Building, which will provide a public meeting room, kitchenette, staff room, literacy offices and Special Collections workroom.

The Friends want to continue helping, but additional members are needed to do so. New members are always welcome.  You can show your support not only by becoming a member, but also by volunteering to work on a committee or help with an event.  Recent events have included book sales, an Antiques & Collectibes Appraisal Day, a Tag Sale, sales of library merchandise, and publicity.

The Friends need you -- your talent and energy, your old books and your new ideas. Tell us where your interests and enthusiasm lie, and we'll show you how you can help.
