Plans of the machinery bought or
constructed for use in building the Hoosac Tunnel including
engines, boilers, hoisting pumping and ventilating apparatus,
waterwheels, air compressors, and power drilling machines with the
system of air water and gas pipes.
Bound in North Adams, Massachusetts as oversize book; 22 x 16
inches. Consists of colored drawings and some photographs.
Some drawings are dated 1864-1865, and some cite Thomas Doane as chief
