#3293 in old log. On back of print is written in pencil:" Gift of
[Miss?] Temple 1929." A piece of paper found near the print, but which
may not be related to it reads: "Donated by: Mrs. Doris Lewis, South
St., Drury MA. 01343." Miss Temple was a librarian at North Adams
Public Library. The frame (partly dismantled in plastic bag) is #0836

"This map belonged to Gen. Henry A.S. Dearborn ...
He was much
interested in the developments of the railroads of Massachusetts and
one of the principal advocates of the Hoosac tunnel. He has laid out
routes for railroad lines on this map in colored inks and has also
written in the names of the many streams and ponds and a few villages
which were not put in by the engravers. He has also drawn in roughly in
pencil the Hoosac mountains and indicated in ink the 'Tunnel'" --
Dealers label on verso.

Shows the distance of each town from Boston and the
shire town.
