No Wireless? NAPL will help with that

VERIZON VOICE OVER IP (VOIP) is experiencing trouble since the loss of Net Neutrality this week. Verizon Wi_Fi appears to be “throttled down” affecting telephone and wireless service. If your “hot-spot” is not working properly, this appears to be part of the problem. We have also learned that “streaming” of large amounts of data or movies will deplete the monthly allowance of bandwidth causing the hot-spots to slow considerably.
NAPL now has wireless hotspots for loan —- with a few restrictions. These Verizon Jetpacks can circulate for two weeks on a North Adams adult library card in good standing. They must be picked up and returned at the main circulation desk. There are no renewals or holds allowed and the late fee will be $1/day maxing at $15. Replacement fee is $50.
These nifty little devices will allow connect up to 10 devices wirelessly, although our Northern Berkshire cell coverage is weak and the hotspot must be located very close to the tablet, phone or smart TV you are using. Interested? We can get you started.jetpack
